We want to enable a fully comprehensive sustainable accommodation experience.
Sustainable development and environmental matters are an important part of our work. We are committed to prevent and minimize the environmental impacts and work actively to contribute sustainable development by improving our operations and setting new yearly goals.
We have been awarded by the Green Key environmental sertificate, and we are a part of the Hinku project by the city of Rauma. We are committed to, for example, to reduce our emissions by 80 % by the year 2030 compared to the level from 2007.
Energy acts
Our biggest environmental impact is caused by heating and water and electric usage. We actively strive to decrease our energy and water consumption and minimize waste formation and improve waste sorting. We regularly follow our environmental efficiency by measuring water, energy and electricity consumption and the amount of wasted produced by our operations. Soaps and washing gels in the hotel rooms are packed in refillable packages to minimize package waste.
Better choices
Our purchases, such as groceries and chemicals, have an indirect environmental impact. Our breakfast selection has organic, local, seasonal and environmentally-friendly labelled products, and we aim to increase their amount even more. Minimizing food waste is also an important goal, and we encourage our customers to take note of that. Our buying policy is responsible, the vast majority of the products we use are delivered from companies who either have their own responsibility and sustainability program, or have a reliable environment sertificate.
Communal acts
We work for social sustainability both in our local area and for the benefit of our guests. As a family-own business, the health, work safety and equality of our staff are of utmost importance to us. Within the Rauma region, we participate in events and widely support children’s spare time activities.
We aim to be at the forefront in the sustaible travel branch, and hope to inspire both other entrepreneurs and our customers and staff to participate in sustaible development.
